Autumn workshops in Slovenia
Together with my English friend and excellent landscape photographer Guy Edwardes we run photographic workshops in Slovenia for over ten years with lots of research both on computer and on terain, we manage to stockpile enough locations, that we can almost guarantee, that our participants will come home with interesting photos in almost every weather and light conditions possible.
This year midranges were not so productive, as heawy storm with gusts of wind blew out most of the bearch leaves. Because of that, we concentrated on golden larch trees furthe up the mountaind, that turn later and their golden needles seens to stay on the trees for longer period of time. Mangrt pass was therefore the highlight of this years workshops. Unusual combination of low clouds and clear air in higher altitude provided us with what I think the best light conditions we encounter on this location.
Alpine Chuffs were always around, as they know, that hikers will provide them with some food, that is hard to come by on this altitude
Combination of low clouds and clear atmosphere gave us opportunity for one of the best photographs I made on this location in past ten years
Bled is one of our usual locations. This is probably THE iconic location of Slovenian landscape, but different light condition and different seasons make it interesting and different non the less
Last day we were blessed with low lying mist
